The Fruit Shop

On Sunday, August 9th, there will be a fruit tasting at The Fruit Shop in the Kearney Mesa area of San Diego.

The Fruit Shop is a small family owned business that carries the best selection of Rare Fruits and sells them in
small quantities.
The Fruit Shop is a small family owned exotic fruit grocer. This shop provides CRFG San Diego
Chapter with fruit tasting events in the store. For a nominal cost, ($5. Paid at the store) enjoy fresh cane juice
with kumquat spritz, jackfruit, dragon fruit, finger banana, longan, and more seasonal exotics. A visit to this shop
is like traveling to a tropical paradise – not to be missed.  Arrive at your convenience,
The Fruit Shop is open from 9am – 5pm Sunday.  


The owner, Don and his brother Hi, travel to Los Angeles each week to purchase the best fruit at reasonable
prices. Fresh Exotic tropical fruits include Jackfruit,
Mangosteen,
Lychee,
Longan,
Mangoes,
Durian,
Dragon fruit,

Hawaiin papaya,
Pineapple,
Cherimoya,
Green mango,
Coco Rico flavor soda,
Asian pear,
Mexican papaya, young coconut,

Watermelon,
Rambutan,
Tangerine and
Baby banana.
This tour is self guided, however the owner Don offers excellent information regarding where the fruit was
grown, if it can be grown here in San Diego, and eating the fruit at its prime ripeness.  
You must be registered to attend this fruit tasting. The owner will be purchasing extra fruit for our Festival of
Fruit attendees.
